DATA GATHERING PANEL
DGM units communicate with the System 3505 Prism LX™ devices via supervised, bi-directional polling multiplex communication using any combination of RS-485, Single or Multi-Mode Fiber, Audio Modem, Ethernet or Polling Radio (RF). The Line Driver Rack and the appropriate Line Driver Cards allow the DGM units to work in an existing communication system, without costly upgrades, or replacing current field equipment and wiring. This capability saves our customers thousands of dollars and system down time.
DGM units are continually polled by System 3505 Prism LX™ for any change of status.
All status changes are held in memory by the DGM, even if the condition clears. Supervised inputs report any break in the circuit as a Trouble condition by zone.
DGM -32/64-RLY panels contain a relay that is controllable from the System 3505 Prism LX™ via the Relay Control Option (sold separately) additional relays can be added in blocks of eight (8) relays to a total of sixty four (64) relays per DGM. The Relay Control Option provides user-defined, manual and programmable (If “X” do ”Y”) control of the relays. Relays can be used to control electronic locks, preprogrammed annunciation devices, sirens etc.
Up to five hundred (500) DGM units can be installed in any system.
Order this panel according to how many zones are initially desired: DGM-32-RLY or DGM 64-RLY. When using relays the –RLY suffix indicates that the DGM can be equipped with relay control initially or in the future. The DGM-32/64-RLY is suitable for an installation that will start out at 32 EOL inputs and possibly later expand to 64 end-of-line resistor alarm inputs with relay control requirements that can be purchased separately
