Muxpad II-RF

Cut Sheets & Documents:

The Muxpad II-RF is a Data Gathering Module (DGM) that is part of the Digitize System 3505 multiplex proprietary alarm monitoring system.  For a complete operating system, you need a System 3505 with the Multiplex option.

The Muxpad II-RF board contains and isolated RS-422/485 serial port, an RS-232 serial port, a 5-volt switching regulator, a single Form C relay, a watchdog timer, battery backup with charger, step-down transformer, power supply, various support systems (such as 128K EPROM, etc.), and zone measurement circuitry with ground fault detection.

The Muxpad II-RF is used to monitor addressable and non-addressable FACP.  The Muxpad II-RF collects the supervised messages from the FACP serial printer port.  As each message is transmitted by the FACP, the Muxpad II-RF gathers the text and interprets it into a more usable format for the System 3505.  The new messages are then relayed to the System 3505 via polling radio.

Upon activation of any new condition, the Muxpad II-RF communicates with the System 3505 to advise new conditions as well as the English text message provided by the FAXCP.  In the event of a data line error, the Muxpad II-RF retains alarm information until communication is reestablished to the System 3505.

The Muxpad II-RF may also be used to monitor end-of-line supervised dry contact points of conventional fire panels.
